Blue Running Lights David Eberhardt
Blue Running Lights
David Eberhardt
As a peace protester, Mr. Eberhardt was incarcerated in Lewisburg Federal Prison with Father Philip Berrigan and two others for protesting the war in Vietnam by pouring blood on draft records. This concern for human life and the world we live in informs his work. The poems in Blue Running Lights radiate with conscience, insight, and wonder as they take aim at war, love, lies, and the natural world in verses that urge us subtly to be better citizens and humans.
