In the spring of 2005 a group of men began a journey that lasted for a year and a half, covered thousands of miles, and would change their lives forever. Over the course of two seasons, the cross country team at Downers Grove South High School rose from obscurity to one of the most formidable teams in the state, capturing the hearts and minds of athletes around the state with their courageous effort. Together they would go on a fantastic ride, experiencing unprecedented success and enduring heart breaking failure. This is not just a sports story. This is a story about brotherhood and overcoming impossible odds to achieve greatness. Legends of the Fall tells a story of what is possible when people put their minds to a common goal.
