If Tomorrow Never Come: I Thank God for Today

Publisher Marketing: It is never surprising to me, how very often we "take life for granted!" Most people go from day to night, expecting to see tomorrow as if tomorrow is promised to us! I myself, use to do the same thing. People rise up and lie down, and most do not even thank God for today, while mentally living in tomorrow: for they consider not, "If Tomorrow Never Come." Most close their eyes at night, expecting to see tomorrow without fail. This is the error of their way. God have not promised me or you "Tomorrow!" The psalmist penned, "I laid myself down and I slep, I awake for the Lord sustained me." Every night before I close my eyes, "I Thank God For Today: " for it is within the very essence of the words of the psalmist that we must consider the power and the will of God in our life: the fact that it is God who hold our very life in the palm of his hand, and not we ourselves! It is true that we lay ourselves down and fall off to sleep each night, but it is not you or me, that tell ourselves, it's time to get up each morning: that is in the power and the will of Almighty God! Right now, is all that we have, therefore, should we live to see this night, it is of the utmost importance that we should thank God for today, because my friend, just what, "If Tomorrow Never Come?" I live with a great need to confess my sin before the Lord: sins of which I commit daily in one of three ways, that is, in "Word, Thought or Deed!" I realize the truth that "I am a sinner saved by God's grace through faith and that isn't of myself but it is indeed a wonderful gift of God." One biblical writer penned, "Yet while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves are found to be sinners, is Christ then the minister of sin?" the writer concludes, "God forbide."For if I build again those things I once destroyed I make myself a transgressor." Jesus Christ died for our sins (past, present and future) and if we should sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. We must confess our sins that we commit daily in the eyes of God, in that, I mean that we must literally "name" the transgression, and strive to not commit it again (confess and forsake). We must cofess and forsake sin in our daily lives as they are committed in that day, then prior to closing our eyes at night, we can fall asleep with a clean heart and a clear conscience before God Almighty. My friend if we should fall dead in any transgression which we have committed without confession: we shall die in that transgression! God have declared, that, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commit wickedness, and die therein, all of the righteous that he have done will not be remembered!" Therefore, it is essential prior to closing one's eyes to fall asleep each night, that one should indeed thank God for today, because just what, "If Tomorrow Never Come?"
