Publisher Marketing: In the book "Luba - Love" is about childhood, school and student's years of Michael's wife Luba. About her family and the beginning of their married life. Her mother with two children: her and seven-year-old daughter and six-month-old son fled from Leningrad to Tatar city Aktanysh in July 1941 About four years of half-starved life in Tatarstan. Return to Leningrad in 1944. After the war, there were different schools in different cities of the West Ukrainian, where her father fought with the Bandera army and served at the border. Later her father served on island Sakhalin, and she finishes a school over there. She returned to Leningrad to continue her education. She was refused to enroll to the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute because she was a Jew, but was permitted to enrolling the Chemical and pharmaceutical institute. Remaining in Leningrad, Luba greedily absorbs the culture of her native city. The book contains the memories of her father N. I. Shtern and information about her family from her mother and father side. Luba and Mikhail created a family. The first two years were the toughest for the young family. Although Luba obtained the diploma as an engineer, she could not get any job again because she was a Jew. Mikhail had not finished yet his studies. It became even worse when their daughter Irina was born. It was difficult to rent a room with a small child. After Mikhail had graduated, they decided to move to the West Siberia (Novosibirsk), where he had an offer for a job. There, in Academgorodock, the new branch of the Academy of Science had just started to develop.
