He came of age during World War II and then exploded into a monumental career as a teacher, innovator and giant in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery. This book is his collected memoirs of life in Pittsburgh, before and during the war, through medical school and throughout his busy career. They touch not only on the vast changes that occurred in his world and the world around during his life, but also the importance of his family.
