The Mysterious Affair at Styles

"The Mysterious Affair at Styles" is the first book by Agatha Christie, and was first published in 1920. This detective novel was also the first to introduce as protagonist the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, helped by his friend, Captain Hastings, and Inspector Japp of Scotland Yard. A wonderfull romance narrated in the first person by Captain Hastings, set in a huge, secluded cottage, with some suspects, which hide information about their own lives. The book also includes maps of the house, the murder scene and a part of a fragment of a will. Like we are used to in an Agatha Christie novel it has a fair amount of false clues and surprising changes in the plot.
