The Emperor's New Clothes Are a Joke
Rich Linville
The Emperor is just like the Emperor Penguin guarding a golden egg. He loves to bring his gold to the beach. And, he wears his bathing suit to go for a swim in the ocean. Moreover, he keeps his crown on to keep his hair from getting too wet. The Emperor loves to tell jokes. They are very corny jokes. What you might call "Dad Jokes." His subjects politely laugh at his puns. More than telling witticisms, the Emperor loves to have new clothes. He cares more about his clothes than his subjects or the kingdom. Both are doing poorly. But, His Royal Highness is bored with the clothes he has purchased. The Emperor does not like any of the new clothes that he is shown.
