The study investigated the effects of household solid wastes management on health hazards of the residents of Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria. The study examined solid wastes storage, disposal and collection in relation to health hazards. It also examined the relative contributions of demographic variables such as age, gender, socioeconomic status, educational background and location of residence on the prevalence of health hazards among the residents. The study was a descriptive research design of the survey type. Four general questions were raised and five hypotheses formulated for the study. The data collected were analyzed using frequency counts, simple percentages and inferential statistics of Pearson Product Moment Correlation, t-test and Multiple Regression Analysis.
