Development of Nmr Imaging Techniques: a Mri Technique Using Soft Excitation Pulses

This text discusses a soft excitation technique, oneof NMR signal excitation methods and applications ofthis method to 1D or 3D images of selected organicsolid materials to one liquid crystal. It alsodiscusses the possibility of dynamic study of liquidcrystals with soft excitation by presentingself-diffusion study of two selected liquid crystals. Since this text is the author?s Ph. D dissertation, itis aimed at people who understand basic spin dynamicsand NMR and NMR imaging and want to know more aboutalternative ways of signal excitation methods insolid state NMR/MRI and their applications. Itcontains general understanding of existing solidstate NMR methods and MRI techniques and what can bedone in non-medical MRI and demonstrates NMRmicro-imaging capability with selected flower stems.
