Effective Information Dissemination Pathways: Using Logit Model in Evaluating Effective Information Dissemination Pathways to Conserve Soil and Forest

Information is known to change the perception of a community about a resource. The impact of effective information dissemination approaches can be far reaching, since it is a major driving force of human behavior, especially in the learning processes. When individual or community are in the process of learning, they not only draw conclusions from their own experiences, but are considerably influenced by extrinsic feedback through information dissemination pathways. Dissemination channels such as audio-visual, radio and persons provide the means by which information is transmitted. It is imperative that without a clear understanding of efficient information dissemination pathways, the conservationists in the community may not effectively play their roles of environmental stewardship in the new legal framework by disseminating environmental knowledge, skills and innovation for adoption. This book attempts to identify and assess the efficient approaches of environmental dissemination channels in order to conserve the natural resource sustainably.
