Disaster risk management is everybody task to reduce the impacts of disaster from preventable losses in disaster prone countries. For the effective disaster risk management, national disaster risk management policies are crucial to implement accurately at all levels in the country. If the national level disaster risk management system in place is not translated properly at the community level, it will be difficult to manage the disaster's impacts and that may affect development of concerned community. Systematic DRM policy implementation at community level is central for ensuring the incorporation of DRM ideas into their development activities through building community capacities on disaster risk management.
