Increasing responsibility of the regional bodies for the administration of the region, administration reforms, and therewith connected excrescent complexity of problems, which the bodies have to solve, represents a strong impulse to the improvement and optimization of the output of the executive agencies on the regional level. The possibility of department cooperation within sectors of a regional authority was chosen for solving. Petri nets were chosen as the most suitable instrument for creating the model of information flows in cooperation. The analysis should help primarily in European public administration sector and should be especially useful to informatics and managers in public administration.
