Biotechnology for Bioassay of Biomolecules from Callus of Stevia: a Monograph for Biotechnology, Bioassay and Biochemistry of Stevia Rebaudiana

Stevia rebaudiana has an alternative name sweet hurb. It is likely to become a major source of high potency sweetener for the growing natural food market of the world in near future. The enterprising results were found for the successful micro propagation with simple and minimum modifications of the quality and quantity to the basal medium. Different combinations of cytokinins and auxins found challengeable achievements for micro propagation enhancement. Attempts on callus regeneration and its organogenesis with tallentful modifications of physio-chemical conditions in the laboratory proved a fruitful achievement in the studies. Hunting of industrial utility, macromolecules from developing callus under different circumstances was a landmark and hopeful achievement in the study. The macromolecules can be controlled or enhanced for their production by changing the physiochemical conditions during callus grown. The most and beautiful part of this novel study lies with bioassay parameters which yielded with enormous potential, antibacterial and antifungal chemicals from the callus extracts.
