Infections and diabetes are drastic health problems and ultimatelyaffect the overall quality of life due to increased morbidity, mortality and treatment cost. The unnecessary prescription practices of medications reported throughout the world. To combat these trends, stewardship programs, awareness campaigns, surveillance of consumption, guidelines adherence and audits of medicationprescribing practices are important limited resources interventions for addressing a wide scope of medication misuse. It is crucial that physicians adhere to such programs in order to obtain the ultimate goal of reducing unnecessary and inappropriate medication usage.
