Wrath Of A Necklace

Bill Baxter and Hank Benno are two fun loving guys who have everything that life has to offer. They own their own businesses, move in the right circles, rub shoulders with their professional counter parts whilst at the same time, escort attractive women. They're both young, in their late twenties early thirties and it seems that they have the world at their feet until a chance meeting with an unscrupulous man and a deep desire for wealth, turns their lives upside down. They flee Australia and the law in a desperate attempt to start a new life in South Africa. Leaving behind their families and friends they board a plane at Sydney Airport to head for the uncertainty of a land that is rife with prejudice and hostility. Before obtaining entry visas, they are forced to pass through three countries and that's the beginning of their ordeal. For the next nine years, they spend their time trying in vain to scrape the tapestry of their lives back together. With little or no funds, rejection of permanent residency and imminent deportation, Bill relying on his own creative juices, takes us on a trail of possible self destruction before piecing back his life and returning to Australia alone. He takes us from adult swinging parties on the Gold Coast to the Namibian diamond deal that went horribly wrong. He bore witness to the political turmoil that was present in South Africa and even saw the necklacing of unsuspecting natives. Bill shows us how a man can survive in Southern Africa, in places where God said goodnight.
