New Hope, a colonial town in the 1690s, survived a destructive plague of mice and a magical plague of cats, but they weren't prepared for Reverend Michael Be-Steadfast Kill-Sin Fear-God Boggust, witch-hunter extraordinaire. After convincing the political and religious leaders that his services are necessary, the witch-hunter arrested anyone who owns a broom, likes cats, or even sneezes wrong. Trial in Name Only is a dark comedy mimicking events similar to what happened in Salem, Massachusetts during the infamous witch trials.
