The first film version of Bizet's classic opera from epic director Cecil B DeMille is now fully restored with rich colour tinting and a full orchestra accompaniment performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Legendary Metropolitan Opera singer Geraldine Farrar takes on the lead role as Carmen, a factory girl who moves from one lover to another, leading to a tragic conclusion of the love triangle in a bullring.
