Lets Be Famous / The Divided Heart / His Excellency / Saloon Bar

A collection of classic features from the iconic British film studio. 'Let's Be Famous' (1939), directed by Walter Forde, follows the adventures of Jimmy Houlihan (Jimmy O'Dea), an Irish shopkeeper who dreams of becoming a successful singer and unexpectedly earns his big break. In 'The Divided Heart' (1954), inspired by a true story and directed by Charles Crichton, a boy who is presumed an orphan of war is adopted by a German family.

However, after a number of years his real mother locates him and attempts to regain custody. 'His Excellency' (1952), directed by Robert Hamer, follows George Harrison (Eric Portman), an everyday Yorkshire man who unexpectedly finds himself appointed to a position of authority on a Mediterranean island and causes chaos. 'Saloon Bar' (1940), directed by Forde, is set around Christmastime.

However, with Eddie Graves (Alec Clunes) set to be executed for a crime he may not have committed things are far from festive. Can amateur sleuth Joe Harris (Gordon Harker) get to the bottom of what really happened in time to save him?
