E. A. Dupont directs this classic silent drama depicting sexual and racial tensions within the London showbiz scene. When his star attraction departs for Hollywood, nightclub owner Valentine Wilmot (Jameson Thomas) turns to Chinese dancer Shosho (Anna May Wong) to try and attract more customers.

However, despite her success, a jealous rival confronts Shosho about her relationship with Wilmot which results in fatal consequences.
