Upon hearing the eponymous Beatles song Toru (Kenichi Matsuyama DEATH NOTE) begins to recollect the carefree life he had lived during the 1960s and the suicide of a close friend that would forever change his it. Trying to make sense of what happened, the reawakening of Torus grief leads him into the arms of the friends girlfriend, Naoko (Rinko Kikuchi BABEL). As the pair struggles to come to terms with its re-ignited sense of loss, another woman enters the fray, rocking Toru and Naoko lives to the core.
