Madeleine Warn is a typical, if somewhat imaginative, child. She has a nice home, loving parents, imaginary friends. Then there is an accident, and nearly everything is lost...except for her "imaginary" friends, who begin to grow frighteningly real... Eight years later, Madeleine is a typical teenager, except for the whispers only she can hear, and the little boy only she can see.
