The first four chapters, based on Psalm 128:3, define romance as using the husband's own creativity to express the love that is in his heart in a way that makes his spouse feel loved, honored, and cherished. The following chapters use direct, man-to-man language that will help the reader learn what his wife needs, why she needs it, and how he can pull it off without feeling like he lost his man card. Each of these 23 chapters gives a clear example of romantic thoughts and actions that will teach the reader how to develop his own romantic creativity and develop the understanding that every part of life can be connected to romance. The conclusion links Eph. 5:25 and Phil. 2:5-11, and notes that a man who loves his wife as Christ loved the church will serve her, including her need for romance.
