Rex Walker has spent his whole life on the road, traveling the United States in search of hidden creatures with his trusty beagle, Eddy. When Rex becomes plagued by strange nightmares, he teams up with a demon from a dimension where it's still 1999 and a cajun woman with a prophetic paranormal gift. Together, the gang travel the countryside, battling poachers, encountering hidden beasts, and searching for the truth.
