ThePolaris Diaries is a story aboutrelationships-between colleagues, friends, lovers, and people from differentwalks of life who form a bond in their desire to not only understand oneanother but also to lend a hand where it is needed. It is a tale about hope regarding thoserelationships people form with their neighbors, other races, other beings perhaps. As such, it is quintessentially human, for itmirrors the kinds of struggles we have been facing here on Earth since thebeginning of our recorded history, as well as the need for understanding, loveand cooperation between different groups of people. There is much evil in it, as there is in reallife, much goodness too ? and several puzzles as well as a few surprises whichkeep the reader interested. The violencein it is kept to a minimum, and there is very little technological gadgetry init; it relies, instead, on much dialogue and reflection on the part of thecharacters, all of whom embody a believable psychology. The story spans three generations, involvestense situations, and explores the changing attitudes the characters experienceas they deal with their new relationships and face dangers as well as novelsituations.
