This book describes 25 years with the Chicago Transit Authority. I started at Howard Terminal on the north side. This terminal is the largest and most complicated that the C. T. A. has. The train I started on was the 4,000 Series or wooden cars. My everyday duties as conductor, mortman, switchman, flagman, towerman, and 19 years as a Rapid Transit Rail Supervisor. This book gives the reader a window into the Rapid Transit Service.
