Dead Simple Learning: Increase Reading Speed and Comprehension, Memory, and Intelligence
Henry Davis
One unifying factor among the taxonomy of learning theories is that when learning occurs we are adapting or changing. Recent scientific findings have shown us new techniques for improving all the facets of learning. Increasing reading speed and comprehension is imperative for initial intake of information. We have developed proven techniques and unique practice materials for improving reading speed and comprehension. We now have the physiological evidence that memory has stages and that we can improve our memory efficiency. An exciting study published in 2008 found that students who read information, then reviewed it by using a testing format retained 50% more of the information than students using traditional rote memorization and mind mapping. Also published in 2008, Improving Fluid Intelligence with Training on Working Memory demonstrated that it is possible to increase intelligence through training. That is how we are going to address Dead Simple Learning techniques. We are going to maximize our efficiency and speed in taking in information, consolidating and storing it, and increasing what we call fluid intelligence -- our cognitive potential We have included complete instruction, practice passages, and resources.
