Eleven year old Sam Beale wants to get one up on his older brother, Dusty. Well, Dusty is stupid about girls, so Sam figures he'll start there. He kisses Jessica Fromm at the skating rink, and now, she's his girlfriend. Suddenly, Sam is getting a crash course on girls, their mood swings and intricate social lives. Now, he's heading for middle school. He'll be one of the only sixth graders with a girl-friend. And, he'll be one of the shortest kids in the school. He'll need to make some new friends, stare down a bully, and learn to slow dance. All around him are new girls, and some of them are real pretty . . . Sam's life is about to get a lot more complicated.
