After the judge received a death threat on his daughter he released George Spuri and his two partners from a Piedmont, North Carolina jail. They returned home and split up. Spuri vowed to himself to make more illicit money than his two former partners combined. Shortly after the split up he commenced getting a feeling . It could only be eliminated by his killing someone. He preferred killing someone he knew rather than to kill someone at random. He loved seeing the surprised look on their face followed by a look o sheer terror when he told them he was going to kill them He also killed for revenge.
