A Piece of String

His mother died when he was a child: now he's going to steal a car and confront her murderer. Conscripting his two closest friends, he travels across the United States to face the man who changed the course of his family's lives forever. Unsure of his goals and of himself, he is forced to come to terms with the reality of his life and to decide who he really wants to be. A Piece of String is a story about loss, and how each of us reacts to loss: differently, suddenly, often poorly. It's about identity; deciding who you are in the wake of tragedy. It's about the damage our parents inflict on us as children, accidentally and deliberately. Ultimately it's a story about the path we all walk from childhood to adulthood
