The Hidden-Self of Sheer Silence

The Hidden-Self of Sheer Silence is a synthesis of eastern and western wisdom. It comes out of the Christian contemplative tradition, but it incorporates the teachings of the nonduality of Reality and the realization of the Supreme Self. The text invites the reader to take up the practice of silent contemplation in order to transcend the duality of the mind-stream. Central to the practice is the use of a prayer word: the silent repetition of one of God's names to train the mind to surrender in the Silence. The author believes this practice and subtle art can help make the world a more peaceful place.
