The Winds of Change

A collection of 12 powerful and moving short stories written in the style of simple fables. The wind threads itself through all the stories like a mythical lifeline, carrying nature's desperate cry for action as it goes. Each touching fable deals with a different, but equally important, environmental or wildlife issue and highlights the need for change. Ranging from bear, rhino and whale hunting, to ocean pollution and farming pesticides, from deforestation and the use of Palm Oil, to animal cruelty. Eventually, all the characters come together at the unexpected end for The Final Meeting. Man with his greed and devastating political agenda is surprised to come face to face with the animals and nature itself, confronting the truth and an urgent need for action. The endangered last White Rhino and an influential president become the two spokesmen, symbolic of the struggle between both nature and man. After reading The Winds of Change, the door is left open and it is up to the reader to decide what to do. Asking you to consider, when you feel the wind on your face again, if it is indeed the wind you feel, or maybe a subtle reminder.
