Our Story

This book was written for our children and our friends to help them understand that every good thing that has happened in our lives is the result of God's blessing on our life. This book contains true stories that prove that God has not only kept every promise we knew He made, He also has kept promises we had never heard before. When we left home to follow Jesus into full time ministry, we left everything. We left our home, our family, and our comfort zone. We took our young son, Bill, in our arms, put all of our earthly possessions in paper bags, and my father drove us to Stetson University in s borrowed 1951 Mercury. We rented a 20 foot Anderson trailer in a trailer park and used the community bathroom and showers. For the past 56 years, I have served as a pastor, a coach, and a School Principal. I hosted a daily radio program for years and was also involved in politics. I ran for the Florida State Senate, the Florida House of Representatives, and the United States Congress. We retired in 2010 after serving more than 50 years in the ministry. This book was written to encourage people and to present indisputable evidence that:1. God has supplied all of our needs.2. He has given us the desires of our hearts.3. He has paid us back 100 times more than we gave up when we left home to follow Him. Another reason this book was written was to answer the question, "Why do bad things happen to God's people?" We've had our share of problems and trials, including cancer. You can read about those trials in this book. Last but not least, I am also a published author with more than a dozen books available in print and in the Kindle format. We believe that if you read "Our Story," you will agree with me that "God is Good -- All the Time!" .
