He was a feisty Cocker Spaniel living on Sheldon Street and Toby was his name. Toby is a fast-moving story about a family dog that was convinced that he was one of the neighborhood guys. Life to him was a huge adventure. Each day, he was busy protecting his family from dangerous marauders and other invaders that dared to enter his backyard. Most of his hard work went unnoticed and unrecognized. He spent his life in a consent struggle to be accepted as a full-fledged family member. He wanted the same rights and privileges that other family members had. He couldn't understand why he was tied up at night and forced to live outside in a doghouse. He simply wanted to live with his family in the big house. If he wasn't going to be accepted as an equal family member he thought about running away and joining the circus. Also, he wanted to attend school with his best buddy. He didn't understand why there was a rule barring dogs from attending school. Toby was lovable, spirited, cute, and intuitive. His love for his family was unconditional and their love for him was never-ending.
