Ex-German Air Force flyer Martin Wetter, after emigrating to Canada post-World War II, is caught by the gold fever during a visit to the North and the Klondike. He decides to head south to the Amazon where the yellow stuff makes him a millionaire. However, as quickly as he finds his fortune, he loses it again and goes back to Canada.
On the West Coast he eventually finds other riches in the worlds of beyond. At 72 he marries and wins $3 million in the lotto. Him and his wife build a dream home to assist and help the needy and orphaned children -- leftovers from the wars and violence of today's world.
