The King's Retribution

In the world of Ayana was a kingdom called Aria. King Owen ruled Aria, alone, for seventeen years since his queen passed away. He cared for Princess Aarilinus who was most precious and beautiful woman in the land. King Owen was a man with a terrible past of anger, regret as well as greed. The king of Aria has a problem. Aarilina is in love with Animus who is not only a peasant, but is son of the man who is responsible for the death of the queen, Aarilina's mother. There is great tension and frustration between King Owen and his daughter. Animus is challenged to retrieve a mask with many other suitors to marry the princess. The mask, once worn by a great warrior makes the possessor invincible to any army. The mask is heavily guarded by creatures of the darkness within the citadel. The king hopes to trick Animus into self dought, but soon finds that the temple will do the work of destroying him. King Owen knows that the mask has a history of its own and discovers the truth that love is the strongest feeling in the world. Ryan Keith Johnson was born in Stillwater, Minnesota and grew up in Somerset, Wisconsin. Ryan has been writing since he was 13 years old and hasn't stopped creating interesting plots. Water color painting, ink illustration as well as using pastel has been an inspiration to capture his imagination. Ryan began with the publishing of his poem in 1996 in the Anthology of Poetry for Young Americans. He graduated from Brown College in 2000, with the emphasis in graphic design. His inspiration for writing comes from listening to Celtic music as well as Nichole Nordemen, Michael W. Smith, Jane Siberry, Sarah Brightman and other Christian music. When he's not writing he enjoys nature hikes, swimming on the beach, watching a good movie, exercising and relaxing. Creating a personal relationship with Jesus is very extraordinary and can only be accomplished by inviting Him into your life. Helping people is a task that is also enjoyable. Ryan plans to publish more Christian books as well as sell his water color paintings, and complete his collaboration of a graphic board game.
