If I Have to Fight I Might As Well Win

April 28. 2004 started out like any other day for Marla until chest pains prompted her to go to the hospital. That is when the earth shattering news of the presence of a mass on her lung would change her life forever. This book details her fight to beat the cancer and her unwavering faith in the healing power of her Savior. This true story tells of how one woman's trust in God took what should have been a devastating death sentence and turned it into an unfathomable peace that can only come from putting one's hope in God. Marla J. Regan-Comedy grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the youngest of six children. Early in her adult life she learned the importance of trusting God. Her faith enabled her to go back to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a Social Worker. She was a full time student while working a full time job and raising two children as a single parent. Eventually earning a Master's Degree in Human Services, Marla worked as a Chemical Dependency Therapist until illness struck and she was forced to focus on her health. Although she eventually beat cancer, Marla died of pneumonia on September 28, 2008. She is survived by one sister three brothers, two children and four grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Her strength and faith is what enabled them to continue with the publishing of this book.
