The Man on the Spectrum

The book deals with the subject of Autism Spectrum Disorder. It is by first time writer Timothy Spence. This somewhat fictional account tells the story of a man in his forties named Tim. He lives in Delaware and is struggling to make ends meet. The story explains situations of what led to his diagnosis of ASD, and shows how the people around him deal with him, including a wife, an unstable family that resides with him, also an antagonist supervisor at the beginning who terminates him unjustly, and those whom he would meet later that are more understanding of his situation and provide jobs specifically for people in his situation. We also read about him and his wife's quest to add a child to their family. A very interesting and inspiring read everyone should check out.
