Table Talk

This work of Martin luther (1483-1546) was banned in Germany an all copies were ordered to be burned by the emperor Rudolphus II. Luther was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church in January of 1521 but one copy of his work was miraculously rescued and brought to England and translated in unusual circumstances told in the introduction of this book. The translator Henry Bell has spent 10 years in prison during which time he translated this work of Luther into English and was finally ordered to be released from prison, by King James upon which the House of Commons were informed of this translated work of Luther. On the 24th February 1646 the House of Parliament gave order for the work to be printed and circulated in England as it had been in Germany. Bierton Particular Baptists have now made the work available for the benefit of those who are following Christ and like Martin Luther's work The Bondage of the Will should assist in educating against Pelagianism, Arminianism and the teaching of Charles Finney.www.
