To Own Two Suns

Morgi Law: "Only against great odds, can greatness be revealed." It is the year 2112. The SMS, the first manned spaceship to venture beyond Neptune, is on a twenty-five year voyage to explore the Kuiper Belt. SMS Captain Jerrison is a research scientist, as are all eleven crew members. Jerrison discovers an apparently unoccupied alien spaceship near Pluto. It is a Morgi Scout Ship, The two strongest Morgi clans are about to battle for ownership of earth. The lone Morgi Scout is from the weaker alien faction. If the lone scout can complete The Ritual of Ownership, his clan will own earth, but the presence of humans make completion impossible. He knows the human infestation must be eliminated before human existence ruins the one chance his family has to possess our solar system. Against all odds, a fragile friendship forms between the Morgi scout and Jerrison. Against even greater odds, a puny human will be given a chance to complete The Ritual of Ownership. The mantra "Only against great odds, can greatness be revealed." controls Morgi civilization. Not one Morgi in a million can complete The Ritual of Ownership. It is obvious no human can succeed. If Jerrison can overcome galactic odds, succeed where success is impossible, maybe humanity will earn respect. Maybe humanity will earn the right to survive. Maybe the scout's clan will accept the unacceptable----an alliance with a none-Morgi. Captain Jerrison is not a 'captain' personality; he is not the hero type. Now he must become a hero; overcome galactic odds, or all humanity dies.
