The Art of Seclusion

Newly minted Rabbi, Donny Gold is 26 and single, a waving red flag in his Orthodox Jewish community where everyone, including his younger sister, seems to be married by 22. Between too many dates, he goes back to high school... to teach and discover that years of rabbinical school have not prepared this 26 year old scholar for Feldman Hebrew Academy's rowdy twelfth graders, a nosy math teacher, and a department head with all the answers. Enter the enigmatic Molly Hoffman, a highly capable, experienced art teacher with an impulsive streak. Navigating the complexities of young Jewish life turns two colleagues into unlikely friends. But murky pasts, divergent commitments, and communal pressures threaten to derail this relationship before it grows.
