Dancing with the Wind

'Dew Drops' is the first poem of Avril written on Brighton Beach, England in April 1997. During the succeeding years the wave that this poem generated in the her heart has not stopped. It has pushed Avril high up to reach the sky, hold the sun and dance with the wind to her heart's content in gay abandon. In the process, she has created a niche for herself and has delighted countless readers in all the continents. A photograph of an airborne young Avril in ballet dress in the beginning of her anthology skyrockets the spirits of the reader, and both the poet and the reader levitate in high spirits till the end of the book. Considered poor in English language in school, she has succeeded in later years in enriching it by her rich poetic contribution. Avril often creates a mystic atmosphere and, as a very sensitive poet, aspires for peace and harmony. The poems in this collection are arranged in a more or less chronicological order thus giving the reader a feeling of joining Avril on her poertic journey through lifes ups and downs. Avril has titled this collecteion as "Dancing With the Wind" as she feels that life is so much like a dance choreographed on the universal stage and we never know to where we will be blown. It is also the title of the final poem in the book.
