For the first twelve years of her life, Kai has lived on a flourishing wheat farm outside of Phoenix in the middle of the sweltering Arizona desert. Until now she has had the best of both worlds...living in the invisible dimension of the Bah, and exploring the tangible realm known as Earth. Born of human parents, she has astounded top scientists with her astonishing capability to control matter, light, sound, and thought. Kai is changing now: maturing, becoming part Bah...when she suddenly disappears. Colonel John Strong, CIA project director, protector of the time-space, is dispatched to find the child and return her safely to the time-space...and the Bah. Tormented by his own memories, he journeys into his past and to the far side of the planet in order to save Kai-the future of the Bah.
