Saagar is a young man from the village who is just becoming aware of the tragedy and cruelty that his family has been cursed with. To protect him from his own violent temper and his instinctive lust for revenge, his mother is forced to send him away to the city. But will the naïve and simple Saagar, haunted by his family's past and shackled by the superstition and blind faith prevalent in 60s India, fare any better at the hands of the corrupt and materialistic city-dwellers? Prem lives all alone in the infamous Ghost Mansion, a house steeped in mystery and fear. Despite being the son of the city's wealthiest industrialist and having a sound education, he chooses to live a simple life, rarely entertaining any outsiders in his gloomy abode. A chance meeting brings Saagar and Prem together and they slowly forge an unlikely and precarious bond. Both desire a life free from the anguish and conflict that has plagued their pasts and both have very different views on how their suffering can be alleviated. But which one of them will prevail? Will either of them succeed in finding a way to lay their demons to rest?
