Reproductive biotechnology does not address to infertile people anymore. Rather, people resort to these new techniques in order to get more healthy babies which are named in the literature as ?designed babies,? ?designer babies,??chosen babies,? etc. However this new tendency of reproductive biotechnology through its PGD technique which makes it possible to choose desired embryos or in other words to eliminate undesired ones such as babies who will possibly born with disability. These possibilities remind a new form of eugenic approach and inequal future. This book aims to critically point out these controversial issues related to reproductive biotechnology towards a quantitative and qualitative data from Turkey. Via this study, how rational choices of prospective parents could turn into irrationality is showed and ?disability?, ?tolerance? and ?humanity? are highlighted as concepts which would like to be eliminated.
