The development of nuclear physics experiments having aim the study of nuclear matter behaviour in normal and extreme conditions, supposes the existence of complex detection systems. The detection systems described in this work ask a series of special materials: plastic scintillator materials, organic and inorganic, materials with resistive properties and semiconductor materials. Are mentioned the plastic scintillators type BC 408, alkaline iodide where the main place is occupied by cesium iodide(activated with thallium ions CsI(Tl)), silicium detectors and PIN photodiodes and in avalanche. This work wants to be a supplement of the results obtained till present on radiation detectors in particularly at the detection systems used in the big experiments of nuclear physics. All detection systems described in this work are useful for researchers who are interested in experiments at particles accelerators.
