'Alexanders Band'. A phenomenon that causes a portal to another timeline to open in the band of darkness between a rare double rainbow. Eden Thatcher was completely fine on her own. Even if her parents had died during the civil war resulting from an attack with an EMP that wiped out most of America's communications and modern conveniences. She had made it just fine on her own, thank you very much. Until one day, the double rainbow showed up, and her curiosity got the better of her. She pushed into the woods, finding the end of the rainbow, and with it, the dark band that would take her into another time, another place. Stepping through the portal, she never imagined it would be real. She never imagined she would see another time, another place, a world set in its own seat of ruin in the form of an endless world war. She never imagined she would find another person. A person in a Nazi uniform who would chase after her, screaming her name until he fell through the portal with her. He landed on the other side beside her, into her world, turning everything she had ever known upside down.
