Following the death of an uncle she barely knew, Bryce Iverson is summoned to a snowy Amsterdam. She has inherited an art gallery and a mystery - the night she arrives her uncle's aged assistant is stabbed to death, his eyes taken. As more killings follow they seem to be linked to an infamous, and possibly cursed, painting. The 'Slash of Crimson', missing for decades and painted by a witch, has been recently reinstalled in the gallery. It may hold the answers to a series of murders, both past and present, if Bryce can survive long enough to find them.
