Where Have I Been

I have been...a child, and watched those before me guide me in fear, where I have been a victim of their failures in their attempts to master "LIFE" through me. I have been...in rude awakening on the uncertainties and realities of life. Those dear to me tearing my heart apart, moments where I cried in silence in my numerous attempts to clear my own inequities with the hope of next day's sunrise. I have been...in relationships with people I honestly and openly invited into my personal space, only to find out they were interested in what they could steal. The people who stole my innocence, my joy, my love, and most, my peace and left me with emotional bankruptcy and a huge debt of unworthiness, benefactors who demanded and expected more than I could and willing to give. I have been..victorious, in situations where most than not, I ignorantly stepped on authority enforced on me in my brave stances to liberate my soul. I have been..in the midst of the high and mighty, shut out and locked behind their popular voices, in witness of a world that only popularity has a voice. Silent in conversations that violated my conscience, kept quiet to preserve my peace, to calm my spirit in protecting my sacred creative space.
