2020 The Year Of Clear Vision

2020 The Year Of Clear Vision is a book about life experiences and events that I'm sure many if not all of us can relate to. With Covid19 being the highlight of this year I touch basis on so many different things with a poem like "Fee" that says things are high and expensive but our check don't accommodate us. I go further into depth with saying we the people strive everyday and make sacrifices for our children and sometimes even those aren't enough to survive in an economy like the one we live in today. Another topic I reflect on is things happening in the workplace and everyone wants to play oblivious to the issues and sweep them under the rug. "A Slave At Work" shows how this happens often in many different places yet no one be willing to say anything especially the ones who get favoritism and nepotism. Moving forward with my all time favorite "Double Negative" which paints a picture showing you how most people in society don't like "Black Men" and other people in society don't like "Gay Men," so what happens when you're both? Well, the poem explains that. Last but not least I felt the need and compelled to do a woman empowerment poem due to the fact that so many young women and girls look up these women out her getting their bodies done for the sake of someone else or just to be popular. "Not For A Man," is a poem that says you don't need to do that in order to fit in or be in the in crowd. At the end of the day be the one person willing to stand out and say I'm ok with who I am, I love who I am, THIS IS ME!
