Madrugada - Chimes At Midnight

New album from the Norwegian band Madrugada - their first in over a decade!

When Madrugada went on tour again in 2019 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album Industrial Silence, the band had been on hiatus for 10 years. The tour made it clear how much people had missed Madrugada. But more importantly, the band noticed how much they loved playing together again.

Madrugada disbanded in the wake of guitarist Robert Burås' death in 2007. The self-titled album from 2008 was to be their last studio album. But the remaining members have returned with new energy and a newfound joy in music again. And not just in a live context - in 2022 they can also present a brand new studio album, their first in 14 years.

70% of the material on Chimes At Midnight is completely new, but a few songs from the archives are brought into the light as well. The song "The World Could Be Falling Down" has roots all the way back to the time around their debut album, while the song "Slowly Turns The Wheel" was created in the time between Madrugada's third and fourth albums.
